Journii (“the App”) is developed by Versilient, founded by Elena Wong Pooi Mun (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled safely, responsibly, and transparently.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Google Account Information
If you choose to connect your Google Calendar to Journii, we request access to:
- Your email address – used solely to identify your Google account for synchronization.
- Google Calendar data, including:
- Event title
- Start and end times
- Description
- Calendar ID
- Event ID
We do not access your contacts, emails, files, or any other Google services.
1.2 Device Information (Stored Locally)
All Google Calendar data used by the App is stored locally on your device.
We do not store or collect this data on external servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your Google Calendar information is used only for:
- Displaying your schedule within Journii
- Supporting co-scheduling features
- Enhancing time-awareness and reflective logging
- Providing in-app insights about your routines and patterns
We do not share your data with third parties, nor use it for advertising, external analytics, or profiling.
3. Data Storage & Security
- All data remains on your device unless you manually export it.
- We do not run a cloud backend and do not store your data on our servers.
- You have full control over your data at all times.
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
4. Permissions & Google OAuth Scopes
Journii uses only the minimum permissions required:
- email – to identify the Google account used
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar – to read and write calendar events for scheduling features
We request these scopes only to provide the intended app functionality.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Disconnect your Google Account at any time
- Revoke permissions from your Google Account settings
- Delete all app data by uninstalling the App
- Request clarification about how your data is used

6. Children’s Privacy
Journii is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
